Newington Mainstage - A new and exciting theatre company!
We have just announced our 2013-2014 Season – and we couldn’t be more excited about what we have lined up! We’re thrilled to be kicking off the year by welcoming back Broadway veteran Carolyn Kirsch in the Connecticut premiere of “GREY GARDENS” – the new musical, based on the 1975 documentary of the same name, which tells the true story of Jackie O’s scandalous aunt and cousin. Next up, Saturday Night Live meets musical theatre in the long-running Off-Broadway satirical revue, “FORBIDDEN BROADWAY”! After running in New York for over 30 years, we are producing this ALL-NEW EDITION, licensed exclusively to Newington Mainstage! Lastly, we wrap up with “PIANO MAN: THE MUSIC OF BILLY JOEL” – a concert celebration of the man and the music, featuring all your favorite Billy Joel hits.
In addition to our season, we have some very exciting projects on the horizon, including producing new works, original one-acts, as well as hosting open mic nights and master classes with Broadway talent and more! Please check back often for announcements, performance information and auditions.
